Chapter Sixteen

"So, Courtney how'd ya like that new song?" Howie grinned winking at her.
"D, I totally loved it! I really think it's gonna be a hit. Ok let's do track five again and Aj really work on your vocals and try not to overcast Howie, I can barely hear him." Courtney winked back at Howie and smiled at the thought of what she was doing. The Backstreet Boys were recording again. She was glad they had asked her to produce some songs on their new album. She had met Nick through JIVE and they fell in love, at first sight--or so he claims.

"This is Mandy Corik with MTV news and I'm here with some late breaking news from Backstreet Camp. Earlier today our very own John Norris sat down with the Boys' PR director and she cleared up some rumors for us. Here's some of the video footage MTV got, your first look at the late breaking information.
"So, clear up some rumors for me. Are Backstreet Boys touring again?" John asked folding his hands in his lap and staring at the young women. She couldn't have been over 21 and she was totally gorgeous.
"Well, John, I don't know where this rumor started from, but we're not planning a tour at this moment."
"OK, and now. Is there going to be a new Backstreet Album?"
"Yes. Actually, they've been in the studio for about a month now and have some great songs done already."
"You're also producing on this album correct?"
"Yes."
"What does it sound like?"
"It's got some up-beat tracks, the usual ballads, and we're re-recording popular hits from earlier days and some unreleased tracks."
"Sounds good. Two more questions and we have to wrap this up. Are you dating a member of Backstreet?"
"Yes. I do have a personal relationship with one member."
"Ok." John smiled at the young girl, knowing not to get too personal. After--well after they lost Kevin, not one media person ask very many personal questions. It just felt too wrong.
"One last question." He took a deep breath and knew this question was going to start some trouble, but hell it was MTV. "Is it true that Brian Littrell is dying?"
