Courtney pulled away from the couch as Nick ran into the room.
"Brian," he called hugging his girlfriend.
"You tried to smack me!"
"I-I," Brian stammered.
"Brian what is wrong with you," Nick walked over to his friend and sat down next to him.
"Nick," he whispered. "I have no clue, I'm so sorry Court really I am."
"Brian, you need to get your lazy butt up and get out of this house and then maybe I'll forgive you," Courtney stormed out of the room.
"Brian, tell me, is it that one girl?"
"What one girl," Brian asked standing up.
"You know the one with the voice, remember?" Nick followed Brian out of the living room.
"Nick I have to take a leak," Brian slammed the bathroom door in Nick's face. Brian opened the door and Nick was gone; his house was empty once again.
"Courtney," Nick begged. "We have to go back--he needs us."
"My ass, Brian needs something but it ain't us--sorry to tell you!"
"Fine, whatever Courtney," Nick turned onto the highway. "Let's just drop it ok I don't want this to turn into a big fight--please."
"Ok, I'm sorry. We can check on him tomorrow," Courtney leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.
