After storming out on Candice, Nick shut the door of her house and fell against it putting his hands on his head. Ohmigod Nick get over her. One side of his head yelled. But you loved her. The other screamed. I loved her, that little lying. Stop right now, Nick scolded himself shaking his head and walking to his house.
Nick went to a conference with four of his friends the next morning and they learned they would be out on another world tour in two weeks. Nick was deciding on when he should tell Candice when he got the perfect idea.
"Ok so, what's up with you and Nick and don't even give me that we're just friends bullshit again Candi I've known you for seven years now." Amanda jumped on her bed.
"We are just friends! I swear Manda that is all!" Amanda rolled her eyes.
"No, you're more! I've seen the way you two look at each other and the way he talks about you all the time," Amanda gushed.
"Whatever! You know that I can't love him! Amanda it's happening again and I don't know what to do." Candice screamed running out of Amanda's room and outside to her pool. Amanda was the only one who knew her secret and they both thought it was gone but it had came back and Candice knew it was stronger this time than ever before. She knew she could never fall in love with him, no matter how much she wanted to. She could never fall in love again no matter who the guy was.
"Hey girl," a voice called.
"Huh?" She looked up and scanned her yard, her eyes fell on the very top of a guys head; a blonde guy. "Nick?" She stood up.
"Hey, you girl! Come here." He said in a low voice, motioning for her to come over to him. "Hurry, come here." He whispered as she neared the tall fence. She stood on the edge of the railing and could hardly see over it. "What?" She whispered.
"You. Me. Boat. Me. You. Water. Now." He rubbed his chin grinning.
"Now?"
"You bet." He jumped off of the fence and opened the gate. "Lets go," he grabbed her arm and ran to his Durango. They both got in and Nick started the car.
"What is this?" Nick sent her a sly grin.
"A surprise."
I can't Nick I just can't She thought over and over. I can't fall for you not now, not ever! She put her hands on her head.
"You ok?" Nick asked stopping the car.
"Ohmigod, Nick it's, it's beautiful!" She gasped looking out at the ocean.
"C'mon," he said jumping out his car door.
"Nick.."
"This is gonna be great." He put a blind fold on her.
"Um..Ur..Nick, Whatcha doin?" She asked as he grabbed her hand and guiding her to the surprise.
He pulled off the blind fold. "Nick, it's wonderful." She gasped at the sail boat waiting on the beach.
"SURPRISE!" Nick screamed hugging her, his eyes filled with excitement.
"This is so great," she whispered in his ear.
"It'll be fun." He walked toward the boat and helping her into it.
"Let's go sail away." She whispered half talking to Nick, half to herself.
"Now music," He turned on the radio he had brought along. He flipped through channel after channel and finally stopped on one.
"Thank you," she murmured gazing out at the water.
"I wanted to. I love sailing so much, but I usually do it by myself. I always have so much fun hanging with you. Then I thought, two things I like, um, sounds like fun." Candice laughed.
From this moment
My life has began
From this moment
You are the one
Nick closed his eyes remembering the first time he met her, it was at a big wig party.
"Nick?" Candice brought him back from his memory. "You ok?" She asked seeing the hurt in his eyes.
"I'm fine." He faked a smile. Only a month he thought sadly turning the station, then there was silence.
"So when are you guys going on tour again?" Candice broke the silence.
"Actually that's what I wanted to talk to you about," he started. "We are leaving in two weeks."
Candice's mouth formed an O.
"I'm really gonna miss talking to you."
"Me, too." He smiled sadly.
"What's really wrong Nick?"
"Oh nothing," he sighed.
"No, something is wrong," she trailed off.
I swear by the moon and the stars
And the sky
And
I swear like the shadow that's by your side
Candice closed her eyes remembering him, how he hurt her so bad, how much pain was actually in her heart.
"You have to sneak in, it's our first dance." Candice cried.
"Fine, but if I get caught." She jumped up and down smiling. She kissed his lips lightly. "Lets go," he grabbed her hand. The couple danced all night, not noticing anyone around them. To everyone there they looked so much in love but, things were getting horrible and she knew it.
"Candice?" Nick shook her. She opened her eyes, tears glistening in them.
"I'm sorry." She whispered wiping her eyes. Four whole years she thought as hot tears streamed down her cheeks. "Oh Nick," she cried into his chest.
"It's ok Candi," he rubbed her back. "I'll just cry with you."
"No please don't!" She looked up, wiping her eyes,
"I don't want to anymore and you shouldn't either."
You don't even know, he thought frowning, two whole years.
"Ok, if you tell me your story, I'll tell you mine."
"Well, I met her at," he closed his eyes.
