Hi and welcome to the beginning of the LinksLS PGA Tour schedule. To compete in this Tour, you must first complete 4 rounds of the LinksLS Q-School Tourney(qualifying tourney); similar to the PGA Tour's Q-School.
There are 3 divisions in the LinksLS PGA Tour: Champ PGA Tour, Pro PGA Tour, and Pro Buy.com Tour. Results for players wishing to play in the champ skill level PGA Tour do not matter as there is only 1 Champ level tour. Your results in this qualifying tourney will place you in your appropriate division(pro PGA or pro Buy.com). You can play in this tourney before your first pro event and their will be a mid-year q-school if you decide you would like to try to move up.
If you plan on playing at Champ mode, play Q-School at Champ mode. If you plan on playing at Pro mode, play Q-School at Pro mode!!
* Qualfifying School Conditions/Setup:
Course: Pinehurst #2
Before you play, create a new player just for use in the LinksLS PGA Tour. Your name should be something like the following; ex. PGA_yourname. Play all your rounds for this Tour with this player and don't use it for anyother LinksLS play.
Score You Must Achieve after 4 rounds to be in Pro PGA Tour: -8
Anyone scoring worse than -8 for the 4 rounds total will be placed into the Buy.com
Tour.
Round 1 Conditions: Pro tee/No wind/normal/medium, no mullies/no gimmies
Round 2 Conditions: Pro tee/No wind/normal/fast, no mullies/no gimmies
Round 3 Conditions: Champ tee/Windy/Hard/medium, no mullies/no gimmies
Round 4 Conditions: Champ tee/Breezy/Hard/Fast, no mullies/no gimmies
I suggest you take advantage of the 1st 2 rounds' conditions as the
last two may be rough, scorewise..
* What You Need to Send Me after each Round:
*your .rec file for your golfer (Recorded Round)(Allows me to look at your round..might post good rounds on the site for d-l)
*your .ver file for your round (Verification File)(Shows me your Round Setup..tee,wind,greens,etc and Score)
*your Gamestat.txt file for your round (When your round stats pop up, choose Print, then To-File)
(the stats in the file are replaced after each round so make sure you copy-paste it out of the LinksLS
directory before your next round!)
*your .pin file for your golfer that you use JUST for the LinksLS PGA Tour
