Welcome
#7 Ryan Dinwiddie
Injuries/Legal Issues: Broken ankle in 2002; missed
4 games. Charged with two DUI’s.
|
Best: Ryan is a tough passer with good ability to
create for himself in the pocket and run with the ball.
|
negative: He lacks pocket presence and
doesn’t have experience in a pro style offense.
|
athletic potential:
He is a good athlete but Ryan is undersized. He does have a
lot of solid attributes as well. |

About
An accurate college
passer with outstanding touchdown-to-interception ratios,
Dinwiddie lacks the size and arm strength to be a top
quarterback prospect. Could catch on as a backup in a West
Coast offensive system where his sense of timing will be used
to a maximum.
Moved into the
starting lineup as a sophomore and posted 62.4
percent/3,043/29/11.Finished the year with passing numbers of
65.4 percent/2,283/20/3.2003 WAC Offensive Player of the
Year after completing 61.9 percent/4,356/31/7 with a passing
efficiency rating of 163.72.
Smart, productive collegiate
cornerback with marginal skills for the next level. Quickly
sets up in the pocket, patient and goes through receiver
progressions. Knows where wide outs are on the field, looks off
the primary target or immediately finds the open pass-catcher.
Senses the pressure yet buys as much time as possible and
always in complete control. Displays a sense of timing, good
wherewithal and does not make bad choices. Accurate between the
numbers and leads receivers on the crossing throws. |
