Kent Cameron grew up in Warwick, RI with
interests in art, natural history and music. He graduated RI School of
Design with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. A multi medium artist, Kent
enjoys working with oils and watercolors, as well as pen and ink, pencil,
markers, pastels and wood.
Upon graduation from RI School of Design with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree, he worked as an artist in textile photo engraving
and then as a product designer for Kenney Manufacturing. Kent also
freelances as a graphic artist.
Merging interests of art and natural history led to a full time position
with Roger Williams Park Zoo as the Outreach Coordinator. His duties include
creating artwork for zoo programs and traveling to schools, libraries,
camps, etc to teach educational animal programs.
Kent resides on a small farm and animal rehabilitation facility in Glocester,
RI with his wife Cheryl and stepson Bennett.
