Their unfamiliarity with greenery is interrupted by an encounter with a pack of dire wolves, protecting a massive creature half wolf, and half...something else.

Marissa makes peace with the creatures, heals the dying monstrosity, and discovers that it speaks Draconic, though not well.

It is a ferocious creature, with acidic breath and giant wings, but reasonable. It tells Marissa that it has fought another creature, like it, but two-legged, and ravenous, and that's when the party is attacked by the very same being.

The resultant battle leaves the party a little worse for wear, but it may mean that they have made another friend in this place.

The next day, they arrive at what seems to be the remains of the Armory, covered in vines and massive trees. They decide to explore it, and are beset by plant-life turned aggressive.
