Episode 29:
in which the heroes enter the lightning abyss...

Summary:

The heroes deliberate on the wisdom of entering a blast crater, still active with magical energies in the form of lightning, when their decision is made for them...

Wandering about the crater, the heroes discover that something survived the blast.
The heroes manage to easily eliminate the metal sentries,
but are dumbfounded by the arrival of the grey render, which flies down the crater undetered by the electrical energies.

A flash of lightning, thunder, and a scream of pain propels the heroes to climb down the crater. They find a newly charred body, unrevivable.

A quick search reveals that the poor sod was gripping a key, similar to one that Terrick is carrying, and similar to the symbol of a certain dead god...

Intrigued, they climb down the spiraling pit. Taking cover from the inate lightning discharges, the heroes enter a cavern, which opens into a long abandoned dungeon complex.

There they battle the surviving guardians, and listen to the howling of the winged horror that awaits them below...
