No way out

ChiChi stood there quivering in fear. Vegeta lay sprawled out on the floor. The figure stood in the shadows, it's face covered with a mask of darkness. ChiChi's eyes widened with shock as a shadowed pair of hands reached out and seized Vegeta's ankle dragging him away. ChiChi stood there, her face broken in a mask of sorrow and despair.

"They're gone..." She whispered.
"All gone... Goku..Piccolo..Bulma..Yamcha..Chow-su..Krillan..Yajerobi..and now Vegeta."
ChiChi suddenly screamed. It rang throughout the halls, corriders, and every nook and cranny of the huge old castle. It echoed off the walls. A scream of despair, no hope, no way out...

ChiChi broke down to the ground sobbing. Her chest heaved as she thought of Yajerobi's body. Her throat constricted making it harder for her to breathe. Choked gasps were heard as ChiChi struggled to keep her mind together. She tried not to vomit as she continued seeing the bloody axe sticking out of Yajerobi's thick scull.

ChiChi suddenly realized something.

'No one could have taken out Vegeta, Goku, Piccolo and Krillan... unless they were one of us.'

ChiChi's eyes widened at the horrible realization and felt her stomach heave.
She suddenly froze with fear.
Rain pelted the glass of the window above her.
Each drop made a sufficient sound, like the sound of Yajerobi's blood dripping from the walls.
Shallow breathing filled the air.
He was back.
ChiChi sat there frozen in fear, awaiting her grisly fate.
Lightning flashed filling the hall with a ghostly glow. ChiChi gasped with shock as the lightning flashed across the mystery host's eyes rapidly blinking back into nothingness. ChiChi couldn't find words to describe what she had just seen.
Only a frightened whimper escaped her lips.
She had seen his eyes... Such a craze, insanity, and cruelty existed in there...
one of that no one else could possibly posses. It was a deep void of darkness, where his psychotic lone soul dwelled... silently... awaiting its meaning of existence.
The light passed, leaving ChiChi in the darkness once more, leaving her in the damned castle that had claimed her friends, leaving her...with him. ChiChi suddenly snapped up straight and pushed herself from the ground running, running to escape death. The mystery host cocked his head to one side as that Oh-so familiar psychotic grin broke across his face. The blood soaked axe he held gleamed, with the crimson red of Yajerobi's blood.

A low chuckle escaped his throat as he started to walk after his last victim.

"There's no way out babe... it’s just you and me..." He whispered as he headed into the darkness after her.

**********

ChiChi panted as she ran aimlessly through the halls for what seemed like hours but had just been a few mere agonizing minutes. ChiChi ran through a door and burst into a huge dimly lit room. ChiChi looked around in utter confusion for a moment but then she realized where she was.

It was the ballroom. The same table, the same candles, the same chandelier, the same way out.
ChiChi uttered of what seemed like a cry of joy and a dread filled sob.
She had twisted her ankle while running but she didn't care. She limped as fast as she could towards the same treacherous doors that had brought her to this place of death.
The same doors that that led the way to the place where her friends were taken, where her Goku was taken.

ChiChi choked backed a sob as she reached for the door handle.
"I'll bring you all back..." She whipered hoarsely.

"No matter what it takes I'll-"

She froze. Her hand tightened around the door handle.
She swallowed. Not wanting to believe it.
She tugged at the door. It wouldn't budge.
ChiChi's blood soaked hands grabbed the handle and she pulled for all she was worth.

"No..."

Her hoarse whisper seemed to fill the air, filling it with horror, dread and the stench of death.

"No." ChiChi mumbled as she tried the other large door.

Her breathing became labored and ragged as she desperately tried the doors.

"No." She mumbled again. "There has to be a way out... there has to be a way out... how could they build a castle with only one way out...???" ChiChi mumbled with a mix of frightening calm and a desperate edge in her voice.

ChiChi started to go into hysterics.
"LET ME OUT!!!" She screamed as she pounded mercilessly on the door.

"LET ME OUT!!! LET ME OUT!!! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!!!!" ChiChi shrieked as she continued pounding not caring about her own blood flowing over Yajerobi's. She screamed and pounded until her voice was too hoarse to be recognized. She slowly slid to her knees, still tapping lightly on the door.

"I don't want to be here..." Her voice was a dry whisper, almost inaudible to her own ears. She suddenly stopped tapping the doors and whispering to no one. She raised her head from the now splintered wood and ever so slowly, turned it to look behind her.

His axe gleamed in the darkness of which he stood. Only a few meters away from ChiChi.

ChiChi could only make out the gleaming axe.
Crimson liquid dripped slowly onto the floor. It and the thunder and lightning was the only sound that seemed to echo in the ballroom.

'Is that my Goku's blood also...?' ChiChi wondered as she gazed at the axe.

'Is that Bulma's or Krillan's? Could it be Chow-su or Vegeta and Piccolo or Yamcha…?

Lightning and thunder suddenly boomed as a unseen force blew out all the candles lighting the room leaving only one, in the peak of its wake.
Lightning flashed again giving the two still figures a silhouette.

'After all this... after Piccolo, Vegeta and Freeza... the Earth's special forces have finally been eliminated... by a psychotic man that is only supposed to exist in rated R horror films...?'

The very thought brought a slight smile to ChiChi's face. Driven to complete grief ChiChi got up, facing the mystery host with a strength of her own. A strength made up of love for her Goku and her friends, a hate for the mystery host for giving her this living nightmare, a sympathy for herself, and a still strong bond of life and it's virtues.

It was now the final showdown as The mystery host and ChiChi stood only a few mere meters from fate. ChiChi held the long door handle in her hand. It had broken off from her previous pulling.

She closed her eyes and silently thanked her father for teaching her this. She gripped it waiting for just the right moment.

Lightning suddenly flashed giving ChiChi just what she needed. A glimpse of his shadow. As soon as the flash disappeared, ChiChi threw the door handle with amazing accuracy and strength, throwing it like it was the boomerang weapon she used when she was a child. ChiChi didn't wait for it to make contact as she ran for her life ignoring the agonizing pain in her right ankle. As soon as she made it through the door she heard a sickening 'thwack' as it made contact with the mystery host's head causing him to cry out. That was the first time she heard his voice and nearly stopped.

It was inhuman with anger, hate, and insanity. ChiChi continued running.

She skidded into a passage she hadn't used before and ran right into a wall. ChiChi stumbled back, stunned. But her shock grew even more when the wall started to turn, revealing a passage way. ChiChi, wasting no time stumbled towards it and noticed candlestick holder with a demon face carved into it sticking out of the wall. 'It must be some kind of a mechanism..'

ChiChi thought as she went through and closed the wall again. ChiChi turned around and could see nothing but pitch black. She put her hands forward and took a step forward, onto nothing.

A sharp gasp escaped ChiChi's lips as she fell and continued falling.

Her gasp turned into a scream as she plummeted through a dark vertical tunnel.

**********

The mystery host watched ChiChi on a monitor as she entered the secret passageway. He grinned in triumph as he heard ChiChi scream as she fell into his trap. The door handle she had used to hit him with had caused a gash to split open on his forehead.

His grin got wider as his blood ran down his eye, nose, and cheek and over his lips. He licked it off his lips savoring the taste of victory.

"Get ready babe," he whispered as he replayed ChiChi falling into his trap.

"Cause your next."
