Vegeta (Bejiita), originally a Prince from the planet Vegeta, made
his way onto the scene in the beginning of Dragon Ball Z during the Saiyan (Saiya-jin) Saga. He came with
Nappa, his dumb (and ugly) guardian, searching for the Dragon Balls to gain immortality. He knew that
Goku (Kakarotto) lived on Earth, but because Goku was only a Third Class Saiyan, Vegeta had no worries
about him.
That was the very thought that would continuously get Vegeta into trouble.
Vegeta has this overencompassing ego, which he can't control. Due to this huge ego, Vegeta almost always
gets his butt thoroughly kicked.
Needless to say, Goku beat the snot out of our good prince, and sent him
scurrying back to one of Frieza's planets to recouperate.
Scurrying? Would you STOP doing that?! I'm no pansy! Don't make me kill you, woman!
After Goku goes Super Saiyan and vanishes from the scene after fighting
Frieza, Vegeta, after searching the galaxy for Goku and coming back empty handed, returns to Earth and
begins to 'settle down'. But, this settling down thing just isn't his style.
Vegeta ends up having a son named Trunks, who acts a lot like his father,
and a daughter named Bra, who only shows up near the end of the series. Vegeta trains his son hard, and always
pushes him to retain his strength over Goten. Seeing as Vegeta can't beat the elder Son, he wants someone of his
own blood to beat the snot out of the other Son.
After some time, Vegeta finally admits that he's second to Goku. Although,
you would think that Vegeta's ego would calm down after that, but it sure as heck didn't.
Second to him? I don't bloody well think so!
Even though he's not the strongest of the Z Warriors, Vegeta can definitely
pack a serious punch if he doesn't let his pride and insane anger get a hold of him. He is definitely a very
important character to the story of Dragon Ball Z...
What do you mean 'not the strongest'? Are you saying that Kakarotto is stronger than I am?! Damn, I'll kill you, woman!!
