He married Martha Ann James in 1813. She died in childbirth 1831. And he married Nancy, He is said to have 21 children. In 1833 George gave the land to the Methodist church in Lenoir North Carolina. He moved to Cherokee County, Alabama. About 1836, he moved to Ellis County, Texas After the Civil War, where he died February 12, 1872

Abraham Collier was born 1799 Burke County, moved to Shelby County, Alabama after his father death. married 1827 Shelby County, Alabama to Kizziah Bagwell. She was born about 1797 Shelby County, Died February 12, 1877 Sturgis, Mississippi. Their four oldest children were born in Shelby County.
