Welcome to Dungiven and the Surrounding Area, a website created so that the uniqueness and beauty of Dungiven can be witnessed throughout the world. The website was established in June 2003 and has been revised twice. This, the third version was prompted by a crash of my computer months ago. |

Though simple and quiet the town seems, it is quite the opposite for it has unique features and history with a wealth of original folk stories, songs and tradition. Dungiven has a vibrant character with such landmarks as the River Roe, Pellipar House and Estate, two castles, & a beautiful mountain. Straying a little further afield from the town there are old historical churches, glens and nature reserves, a beautiful dam and much more. Enjoy this wonderful website which potrays the area of Dungiven in all its glory. [Banagher Glen Nature Reserve: Horses] Please note that there are some topics yet to be finished off. In some topics, pictures can not yet be accessed. I hope to resolve this problem in the near future!
