Features: This is one of the Astha Swayamvyaktha Sthalas. The diety gets an oil Thirumanjanam daily. And all the oil used in the Thirumanjanam gets collected in a big well-like structure. The oil is then used up for various medicinal purposes. His Holiness Sri Vanamamalai Jeeyar has His Mutt headquartered in this Kshetra. Even the administration of the temple comes under the purview of the Mutt.
