Dragonball Z is the second series.
It start with revelation on what is Son Gokou´s true nature. He discovers trough his brother that he is a Saiyan, a breed of super warriors with superlative abilities and powe that Son Gokou has never imagined. He soon realized that he prefers to fight for the true, for justice and not for destruction like how Saiyans are trained for.
Ultimately he protects his friends and earth from the terror of the Saiyans and much more powerful foes he encounters here on earth and on distant planets. He eventually prepares his son, Son Gohan to become much powerful fighter and with the help of new friends and again with the Dragonballs defeat great monsters, androids, and magical beings from destroying earth

Now its been about 10 years after the end of the last series that Dragonball GT continues the story.
This time Son Gokou is accidentally wished to become a child again. To alleviate the situation the trio of Son Gokou, Trunks, and Pan (Son Gohan's daughter) set on an adventure to locate and retrieve the dragonballs that are apparently scattered across the galaxy.
They do succed in retrieving the dragonballs, but not without running into trouble. One of which would terrorize Earth and even gain control of the population. But Son Gokou saves the people of Earth and his family and friends again with his new found strength and a little help from a god.

140 years ago when it was the end of the Edo dynasty there was a samurai nicknamed Hitokiri bathow-sai in Kyoto, who opened up a new dynasty, Meiji. But... He suddenly disappeared. Nobody knows where he is... and yet his name is now famous in legend among the people. The story of "Rurouni Kenshin" as told by Nobuhiro Watsuki-sensei is based on historically true events which occurred in Japan's turbulent past. Many of the characters in "Rurouni Kenshin" can be found easily in any Japanese history book. How can I describe this anime...? I can't, except to say that it is the most emotionally moving and coolest story I have ever heard. Watsuki-sensei casts a cool and often violent spell, touching deeply the hearts and minds of his audience. The story revolves around the wanderer or "rurouni" Himura Kenshin.
A man who has made a non-killing vow in order to atone for the countless lives he has stolen. To ensure that he keeps his oath Kenshin carries a "sakaba" or "upside down" sword. The sword's blade is reversed, which effectively makes the sword blunt and therefore non-lethal. Kenshin has now devoted his life to protecting those he loves. After tiring of his journey he moved into the Kamiya Dojo.
Owned by the elegant and beautiful Kamiya Kaoru. Kaoru and Kenshin plan to raise the young Myojin Yahiko to be the inheritor of "Kamiya-Katsushin-Ryu" a fighting technique of the Kamiya dojo.
