Working with Filters

writing home
For this image, I scanned in some of the pictures my dad took during his stay in the Korean War. I used a 10 pixel feather on the maquee tool. I used both elliptical and rectangular marquees. I then placed the pictures on a background that I made. This gives the image a artistic collage effect. I call this image "Writing Home."
smushed pennies
water color
This is the original image of some smushed pennies my friends and I made by laying them on a railroad track.
This is the same image with the watercolors filter applied.
violin
accented edges
This is the original image that I took with a 35 mm camera. This was a photo I shot for a photography class I took a couple of years ago..
Here I used a brush stroke filter called angled strokes. It made the picture look kind of like a painting.
chalk
acean ripple
Here I used a sketch filter call chalk and charcoal. To me this is how I think the image would look using just two colors of chalk.
Here I used a distort filter call ocean ripple. I just think this looks really cool.
effects collage
I made this image by cutting people from one image and putting them in another. Each person has a different layer effect. To Michelle and Amy, I applied the luminosity effect. To Mike I applied the dissolve effect. To Daniel, I applied the screen effect. Finally to Crystal, I applied the lighten effect.
