Many
a time, people from all walks of life have come to Mr. Anthony Dee seeking
assistance financially or in the form of donations like: classrooms,
outdoor stage, waiting shed, concrete fence, sound systems and other
facilities needed by schools. He never refuse anybody so that request
of his nature which he finds deserving are granted. Like his late father
Mr. Cao Pek Dee Hwa Liong, who was in his tie as an educator and philanthropist,
donated school buildings through the Filipino-Chinese chamber of Commerce.
Meanwhile, imbued with a desire to serve, Mr. Dee decided to put up
his own College. He effected the construction of buildings with 132
classrooms at Sapang Maisac, Mabalacat, Pampanga, and instructed his
people to file the request with DECS for operation of the First and
Second Year levels of the secondary education. On February 23, 1999,
Director Stephen Capuyan of the Department of Education Culture and
Sports, Region 3 issued Government Permit No. 003 S. 1999 and classes
started in June.
At this
juncture it may be informed that special facilities are already constructed
like gymnasium, swimming pool and chapel. Another construction have
commenced beside the College, and this is the 400 room hospital with
a capacity of 675 beds.
Meantime,
it is further informed that new courses shall be offered this coming
June 2000: Elementary, First and Second Grades; High School, Fourth
Year levels; BS in Accountancy; 6 months Dressmaking and 6 months
Lathe Machine Setter Operator courses. Similarly, courses like the
Physical Therapy, Midwifery, Nursing and Medicine shall be offered
in the near future.
Under
the leadership of Mr. Anthony Dee the College is envisioned to become
a Center for Educational Excellence which shall provide quality educational
services to the youth and to develop them to the fullest by equipping
them with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary for their
active participation in humane society.
