Empire Burlesque Bob Dylan"You know, sometimes I think about people like T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters - these people who play into their sixties. If I'm here at eighty I'll be doing the same thing. This is all I want to do ...." (Bob Dylan, 1986) |

CDs (2) At Budokan [Live In Japan, February, 1978] 2 Discs The classic dylanian songs tend here to put on an air of suspense with powerful backing vocals and instrumentation. Forever Young, Don't Think Twice It's All Right, Mr. Tambourine Man, Shelter from the Storm, The Times They Are A-Changin'...
The Basement Tapes [Double CD] These legendary Saugerties, NY "Big Pink" sessions with the Band show Dylan, recovering from a mysterious motorcycle accident and raising young kids, kicking back and having some fun with his pals. Great tunes.
Before The Flood [Live With The Band, 1974] 2 discs Epic stuff! Before The Flood is a live collection of some of the best hits that these performers have realeased. The quality of the recordings is also excellent, making it more than worth it.
Biograph [BOX SET] 3 discs, 51 tracks A very good overview of Dylan's brilliance as a songwriter and performer. The
infectious "Abandoned Love" alone makes this collection worth having, and the
lengthy Dylan interview included in the booklet, along with his comments on the songs, is
a fine and informative accompaniment to the music. |
