The day began with me and lindsay eating most of the food in the car on the way over. thankfully someone thought to bring a shitload of absurdly large lamingtons.

and kudos to gretchen for the cooked chook. that was gone in five minutes. there was so litte left i couldnt even take a photo of it ! (excuses excuses ... )

as well as the excessive number of lamingtons we were also entertained by bushisms. where would we be without dubya.

i then proceeded to follow lindsay to the New Farm Park Toilets, which as i mentioned to her as she was about to enter the cubicle, are a gay beat.

she was most distressed. especially when i made her pose for yet another stupid photo.

LOOKIT THE PRETTY TREES! twas a glorious day.

soon tho, those crazy larakins played soccer. i of course did not participate. i am the sports photographer after all. look at the fruits of my labour (there are more ... but they're in analogue format and may take some time to transcribe onto the web).

although the game soon denegrated into rugby ..... (best we not mention the mugby)

after this rather heinous display of physical activity (twas sickening let me assure you) it was thought that carrying people around in a blanket would be quite fun. i think not.

and yes, for most of this i was to be found sitting on the sidelines with my wonderful asssistant anita. hurrah for piking !
