Framing with Son

Got some more framing done today. Here is the last piece going onto the cabin roof. It has a bead of PL and is screwed from the outside.

Here is my son and the completed roof panel. Sorry for the blurry bottom, it was a smudge on the lens.

This is the front deck. I was going to put more framing in, but this was enough to stiffen it properly. If you want to walk on it, you will need more framing though. I did get the other side piece all framed out and equal to the other side. I have a little more work to do on the sides, I have to finish framing the window panel for the front of the cabin, I need to cut the transoms and put the bottom together, though I may put it together as I install it on the boat. I will not be using epoxy on the boat, so I will be experimenting with other substances to seal the areas where it will contact the water, along with painting. Along the exposed edges of the ply, I'm planning on using PL Concrete Caulk. I will be caulking the seams with Silicone tub and tile caulking. I am only concerned with sealing from the bottom to a height of 12", as the boat will not be intact very long and I'm not going to test it on a nasty day.
