At Guards.
Same thing, different view. Notice the rubrail. These are the nice pieces of Mahogany I picked up last month, pictured earlier.I will be leaving these bright.
Here is another view of the rubrail. When the epoxy hits the wood, all the beautiful color comes out. It took 20 clamps per side to put these on properly. Most of these were C clamps and bar clamps. I needed the clamping power to get the wood to bend and twist into shape. I used spring clamps on the straight sections. I did a boatbuilding Faux Pas. I didn't want to buy 40 clamps, so I clamped each side separately. This didn't appear to affect the squareness of the boat though.
Here is the the end result. This is at a spot called the Sportsman's Club. It is a very shallow beach, on a branch of Lake Mitchell. These pictures were taken Friday evening, June 21, about 8 PM.
