Welcome to the world of LilJons. LilJon boats are easy to build johnboats, designed to get you on the water with a minimum of fuss. This does not mean that you can't build a boat that you can really be proud of too. The LilJon plans are very flexible, providing many levels of relative building complexity, from a square box to lots of angles. Even the most complex combinations of options is still a pretty easy build though. I have finished working on the consolidated plans, from which you can build any size and style LilJon you desire (up to 12'). They are available at the bottom of this page. The original Liljon8 plans will continue to be available right here too. The plans will be continue to be free of charge, with the request that I get some pictures of building and using. I am tossing around the idea of creating a LilJon Group on Yahoo. Please email me if you would like to see and participate in it.
Here are a bunch of .GIFs with views of the various shapes that LilJons can be built in. The pictures are pretty big, but I can't reduce the size of the picture without having the lines crap out on me. I also have one from a builder, of a combination boat. A combination boat is designed to work fairly well with a motor, as well as rowing. It isn't going to be the best at either one, but is an attempt at a compromise.
