Even though this pub is just a stones throw from the A34 and only a couple of miles outside Newbury,this pub has great beer(Butts), stream flowing by, nearby Watermill theatre and believe it or not a quiet rural spec.From here it's only a short walk to Donnington castle and yet another pub!! Unfortunately it got new owners and it was goodbye good food, hello egg and chips, good bye sexy barstaff and good bye from me!...Don't know how long they would last though
