Lesson Dates

Piano lessons follow the school terms, with the same holidays. There are approximately forty piano lessons in each academic year.

It may be possible to arrange extra individual lessons for the preparation of concerts, auditions and exams.

Lesson Times and Punctuality

Please be extremely careful in choosing lesson times, as it is difficult to change them mid-half term. You will be charged for the lessons you miss if you cannot make the pre-arranged time.

Please be on time as it may not be possible to make up time at the end of the lesson. Minutes missed will be charged for.

Payment

Lessons are billed in half-term units (approximately 5 – 7 weeks).

An invoice will be issued towards the beginning of each half term; payment must be made before the end of the same half term.

Cancellations

If I need to cancel a lesson, I will try to let you know as far in advance as possible. I will not charge you for this lesson. If you have already paid for the half term’s lessons I will deduct the missed lesson from the next half term’s invoice.

I require 24 hours notice for any cancellation and any lesson cancelled after that time will be charged for at my discretion. Where this is not possible due to the sudden onset of illness please give me as much notice as possible.

You may cancel one lesson per half term. Any other cancellations will have to be paid for.

Lesson Pick-up

Please be punctual in picking up your son or daughter from the piano lesson. Delays of more than five minutes will be charged for at the normal piano lesson rate and included on the next invoice.

Lesson Etiquette

Please feel welcome to sit in and observe the piano lesson of your son or daughter. Ensure that you have turned off your mobile phone and please save any questions or remarks until the end of the lesson. Please do not arrive after the lesson has started as this disturbs the piano lesson.

Friends of pupils are only admitted to the lessons at my discretion and with prior notice.
