Learning the piano can be fun,
creative and rewarding for anybody with enthusiasm, adult or child. I give piano lessons to people of
all standards, from complete beginners to advanced performers.
Theory lessons and aural training are also offered. I have students from very diverse backgrounds and of all ages. Adult beginners and re-starters form about a third of my students. I have experience of teaching people with special educational needs and learning difficulties. I have over ten years of teaching experience. Click here to see a short biography. Click here to find out how much lessons cost, and whether I have any lesson vacancies. My students take the examinations held by : The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The London College of Music. Many students choose not to take exams and just play for fun. As well as taking exams, I sometimes put on concerts for my students to gain performance experience. The most recent one was in July 2003, when we all played at The Landmark Centre, Teddington Lock. The next concert will be on December 4th at St Luke's Church, West Norwood. I teach privately in: West Norwood I live between West Norwood and Tulse Hill stations, about eight minutes walk from both. There are regular trains from Victoria (four an hour) taking 17 minutes, London Bridge (six an hour) taking about 15 minutes, Thames Link trains, and four buses from Brixton - 2, 432, 196, 322 - and two from Elephant and Castle - 68 and 468. As well as my private teaching, I teach the piano to twenty-six children at Clapham Manor Primary School and ten children at Kingswood Primary School. |
