"I've always thought the best medicine for sorrow is anger" - Albert, The Solitaire Mystery (Jostein Gaarder) Argument #2: BaM Censorship: Part 1

238: This meeting has come to order.
Heat: Has it?
238: You shut up. Now is everyone listening?
Everyone: Yes, I am!
238: I mean everyone in this room.
Everyone: *looks very puzzled* But I am in this room.
238: *sighs deeply in distress*
Kitty-N: Never mind, let's get on with it.
Third: Yeah, man! I mean, woman!
Shorty: *whispers to Frida* If he's Third, where's Second?
Frida: *whispers back* I reckon they got rid of him.
238: Now, we have had some complaints from several gamers, as well as dancers from the game itself.
--silence--
238: I have gathered all these complaints and copied them down into this document. *holds up a bulging blue notebook* More complaints are welcome, but only after I've finished reading out the ones in this document.
--still silence--
238: Is anyone listening to me?
--yet longer suspicious silence--
--a snore from Strike gives everything away--

238: WAKE UUUUUUP!
Strike: I am awake, you beep!
Heat: Beep?
Strike: Ain't my fault. Some beep at the front door said that any swearing or rude words would be censored out with a loud annoying beeping sound. I figured a beep would be better than those censoring beeps.
Hiro: I'm betting Strike will say the most beeps.
Kelly: I'm betting he'll lose to Heat by a few beeps.
238: Are you listening to me?
Tsutomu: I'm trying to, but these *loud annoying beeping sound sounds off* - oops, I forgot about the censorship. Okay, I meant to say that these beeps are really bugging me with their beep noise.
238: Okay, people...
Robo-Z: Excuse me, I don't believe that I am a "person".
238: You know, I did say that complaints can wait until after I've read this document. *again holds up the bulging blue notebook* Okay, okay, let's start, peep.. I mean, beings.
Heat: Finally, I was getting sick of waiting.
238: First complaint... um... Heat.
Heat: Yeah?
238: Gamers are concerned that your heat would burn the other dancers, and possibly even the gamers.
Heat: So?
238: Gamers want this topic to be discussed.
Heat: I think that those *loud annoying beeping sound sounds off*, I mean, beeps, should allow me to use my fire power anyway I like, because... *sings* everybody knows that he is the one...
Comet: Frida always said that I sing awfully awful, but Heat's worse.
Frida: *sighs sadly* I can't decide which song is worse, "Magic Tower" or "The Heat Is On".
Comet: What's wrong with my song?
Frida: The lyrics, girl, the lyrics!
Comet: So?
Shorty: Who wrote the lyrics, anyway?
Frida: Definitely not Comet, coz if she did, I'd have taken away her rollerblades! *laughs cruelly*
Comet: Anything but that!
238: Excuse me, but I believe that we're discussing Heat and his fire.
Heat: *speaks firmly* I want to keep my fire. *laughs as he flames 238's bulging blue notebook* Then again, you don't have any choice do you?
238: *stares with astonishment at her burnt notebook*
Heat: *laughs cruelly* I do own these fire powers, you know!
238: Meaning that it won't do any good taking out back-up diskettes or any hard copies of this document.
Heat: *with much confusion* Umm... yeah...
238: So what do you other guys think?
Kitty-N: I think that you shouldn't let him get away with that.
Kelly: What's a 'hard copy'? I remember hearing that in the office where I worked, but everyone just laughed at me when I asked them.
238: No, I mean about keeping Heat's fire power out of the game.
Capoeira: If the fire-Earthling can control these powers...
Heat: Man, I own these powers! They're mine and no one else's!
Capoeira: Then the only question is whether he'll stay or not.
--everyone else except Heat nods with much thoughtfulness--
Heat: *nervously* Now, wait a minute, ain't that too harsh?
Columbo: Squeak squeak squeak! Squeak?! Squeak! *shakes head with extreme annoyance, and says something which sets off a loud annoying beeping sound*
Shorty: Awwww.. Columbo...
238: What do you think, everyone?
Everyone: I say that if it's the customers who are always right, we ask for their opinions and not for the dancers, because the dancers know him too well.
Pinky: Customers are not always right.
238: I actually asked for everybody's opinion and not Everyone's, but what she says is a good idea.
Heat: She?
Everyone: *with a deep laugh* You didn't know because I happen to be in disguise.
Comet: As a chair?
Everyone: That I won't say...
238: Ahem... so what do you think about Everyone's opinion?
Shorty: *grudgingly* It's a good idea...
Frida: *pouts* But the gamers will want to keep him, he's a very popular boy, you know!
Heat: And so I am!

Will Heat be kept as a character or not? Intrigued? (or just really bored and need something to pass your time?) Click on this underlined (I think it's underlined) link: this underlined (I think it's underlined) link

That link won't work. I have Part 2 of the argument in my hard disk but I've never finished it. It started going off-topic and it sucked... BTW, this was the first time I'd ever done an argument between me and the BAM characters... then it became a regular thing... heheheh...  ^^;;

Do you think Heat should be kept out of the game?  ^^;;
