Before buying a pet.....

You have to take note of some important factors such as:

Size of house

Type of house

Available time

Budget for keeping a pet

Before buying a pet, you have to find about as in much detail as possible, on how much space the animal needs, whether it needs indoor or outdoor exercise and the amount of care needed for the animal.

For small apartments, fishes and other small animals such as white mice, rabbits, hamsters, and small birds would do great. Also small dogs such as the Poodle and Chihuahua make a great pet. Fishes and other smaller breeds of animals are easy to care for yet it takes a lot of commitment for one to keep such a pet.

For bigger houses, both large and small animals are great pets. This is because the animal has a larger space to exercise and move around. Big dogs such as the St.Bernard or Old English Sheep dog need a very big place to live in. One point to note however, is that a relatively larger animal need a higher financial input than a smaller one.

Next you have to be mentally and physically prepared to take your pet for walks, to the vet for both casual and important visits, spend quality time playing with it and taking time and effort to groom your pet.

Final note: Never buy a pet in a rush. Take time to think about it carefully and make a desicsion with the whole family. This is so as your whole family must be willing to have a pet.
