There is an inductor with double dashed lines indicating a ferrite core. The primary is a link winding which is described in the text. The bottom of this winding connects to earth ground. The top connects to an antenna. The secondary of the inductor has a variable capacitor connected across it. This combination is called the tuned circuit. The capacitor is also described in the text. The bottom end of the tuned circuit goes to pin 8, cathode, of the tube and also to the common of the power supply. The top of the tuned circuit goes through a 100 p f capacitor to pin 5, control plate, of the tube. There is a 2.7 meg ohm resistor connected from pin 5 to circuit common. Pin 3, the collecting plate, goes through a 4.7 meg ohm resistor to the '0 to 400 VDC' connection on the power supply. A .01 microfarad capacitor connects from pin 3 to the hot side of the audio output. The common side of the audio output goes to circuit common. The tube heater, pins 2 and 7 are connected as described above.
