Screen shot from Oscilloscope. The output from the I F transformer is high frequency alternating voltage. The individual cycles are so close together that they can't be resolved. The pattern appears as a shape that has been completely colored in. The bottom of the shape is an exact mirror image of the top. Only the top will be described. Further more it will be described as if it were a line graph rather than a colored in shape. Note. All following oscilloscope pictures on this page are of the same type and will be described in this way. End of note. The grid on the screen consists of squares known as divisions. There are 14 from left to right horizontally and 8 from bottom to top vertically. The center horizontal line is taken as zero. The graph begins on the left and is very close to zero. It rises slowly at first but gradually becomes more and more steep. It reaches a peak at about 3 and a half divisions high and about three fourths division to the left of the center line. Then it falls about four tenths of a division to the bottom of a shallow valley. The bottom of the valley is on the center line. The line rises to another peak which is about one fourth of a division higher than the first one. Then the line falls very steeply but becomes less and less steep as it approaches the right hand edge of the screen.
This completes the verbal description.
