Nope, I've always had the Permanent checkbox checked, and it doesn't make any 
difference. In any case, I'm not closing Protel between the setting and the 
action. I can set the default reference designator size to a different size 
and it stays there, but when I import the netlist (Design-Netlist) I get the 
standard 60/10 ref designators every time. Does it work differently using the 
Synchronize function? I suppose I really ought to check out that new feature 
one of these days. Got any "round tuits" you could send me?
