I have used both packages also and Protel Smokes PADS! I first used Protel
then had to switch to PADS because the person before me liked it. I had to
struggle to get back to Protel SE but I think all the engineers I work with
now are sold on Protel. I agree they went though their growing pains but I
think they have a much better product.

One thing that really jumped out at me is the dimensions on a PCB with
Protel it is built in but with PADS it is an option!

of using Pads Vs Protel? How about the pros and cons of Protel98 vs
