With the entry of the new century and the progress of communication tools and the fast flow of information, the world became as living in global village, where each part affects the other parts either negatively or positively. This has raised great challenges over the present generations, either to find a place on this planet or be drowned by the overwhelming and gigantic knowledge from a side and the monster of globalization from the other side.
Therefore
It is important that educators look often at their curricula, by revision and evaluation. This is necessary to make sure that their curricula respond to the global changes and the information explosion. Accordingly, the center always looks at the curricula that are presented to our students. On this line, the center has organized several seminars and workshops dealing with the systemic approach in chemistry education for the pre and university students. These meetings have recommended the implementation of this approach into the educational system in other science disciplines at the different levels so as to gain its great scientific and pedagogical impacts.
Aims of the Conference:-Defining the aims and scopes of the systemic approach and its educational outcomes versus the linear approach.
-Presenting some local and international experiences in this regard.
-Presenting the efforts of the center in this respect.
-Emphasizing the role of systemic approach in area of scientific research.
To achieve the goals of the conference, the lectures, seminars and workshops will deal with the following:
-Defining the systemic approach and its role in the educational process.
-Systemic approach and the development of scientific concepts.
-Systemic approach in teaching: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Integrated Sciences and Mathematics.
-Systemic approach in testing and evaluation.
-Systemic approach in teacher preparation.
