Quartermaster Katie Hagen

Katie is the even tempered "Fraulein Fuhrer" of Ship 1. Every ship needs one! Katie keeps things going and sets various examples on how and how not to do things. Much more energetic than the gentlemen, the Ladies always seem to be one step ahead, as it is in later life. Chelsea is Katie's chief adviser/confidante on matters of porpoises and avoiding Eloise. Katie has received the Young American award twice, and is both a Qualified Seaman and Small Boat Handler. She is a SEAL graduate who was #1 in her class and #2 in the nation. She is one of two Sea Scouts who will represent US Sea Scouts at the America's Cup races being held February 2000 in New Zealand. She is a senior at Pope John Paul HS in Slidell and valdictorian of her class. She likes soccor, cross country,Spanish Club, National Honor Society, and Choir. She is the Southwestern Rendezvous Champion where she performed with their infamous drill team. Katie is very active in Civic and Charity work all of which keeps her very busy. She also loves being with Chelsea, fishing, and Indian artifact hunting. Her wish in life is to get another caption, but the "fuhrer" part was to good to lose.
