Hi my name is Donna and I have lived in Connecticut almost all my life. I have a wonderful family. I strongly feel that my children are my "living resume" so to speak. When my daughter was 18 months old I had to enroll her in a day care program. When visiting Day care homes I felt that if the provider was not doing a superb job of being a positive role model for her own children, chances are she would not be a good one for mine.
My Credentials
I am a licensed child care provider with a lifetime of experience in positive child rearing and care. To obtain my license I had to pass an inspection performed by the State Of Connecticut Human Resource Department. My husband and I had to be fingerprinted for an FBI background screening. It doesn't stop there, I must also pass surprise inspections each year to maintain my license. I also have to be Certified in First Aid and CPR. I belong to the North Central Day Care Association. I am also studying for my CDA
My Philosophy of Quality Care
I provide quality child care in a loving home-environment for children from Birth to 12 years old. At FunTime Home DayCare, children are allowed to be children and families are always a priority. I believe that family involvement is essential to any quality child care program and do encourage parent participation. This program is designed to meet the needs and abilities of each child’s physical, emotional, intellectual and social development. Our environment is hands-on, educational, and of course, FUN. My desire is to assist and encourage each child’s abilities and skills throughout every stage of their development. Your child will have a safe, clean, healthy place to grow and learn. Children learn through play. I try to provide many opportunities for them to "discover" things about the world they live in. Children are really very bright and need to be treated as special little individuals with much to share. Each child brings a new and exciting personality to my day care and I try not to stifle their personality, but to nurture it and only help them with socialization skills, and to guide them in areas where they need guidance.
