Hilton Head Vacation
2006

We were lucky enough to go back to South Carolina for vacation, AGAIN! Fantastic!!! Jon and I went from June 10-17 with my mom, dad, brother Jonathan and his girlfriend Mary, and Samantha and her friend, Hannah! Hooray!!! The following pictures are just a taste of the hundreds I took. If I ever figure out how to put up videos, we'll see some crazy things never before viewed on the Moon. Be afraid, be very afraid.

We played in the ocean, got a nice freckley tan, went to Savannah for the haunted pub crawl and dinner, ate at yummy restaurants, shopped at Coligney plaza, had delicious drinks at Frosty Frog, hung out under umbrellas on the beach, played games at night, enjoyed the hotel bar, and had an all-around amazing time together. Mom has already reserved the SAME condo for next year's vacation! Yippee!

Enjoy! If you'd like to see more pictures, call me and we'll get together and peruse the album I put together.

This is the entrance to the hotel grounds with
our condo. I literally cried when Jon and I
drove past the Hilton Head Island sign for the
first time!

This is the condo. Our's is on the second floor
on the left side. The complex pool was in our
backyard, too!

Everyone arrived on the first day within an hour
of one another. We got right to work ironing
wrinkled clothes and making cool drinks.

Some of us met Mary, Jon's girlfriend, for the
first time - she's so cute!

We sat around the kitchen for a little while
and decided how long we'd need to get ready to
go to dinner at the Greek restaurant, It's Greek
To Me! Yummy!!!

Jon relaxed in the living room awhile. Then we
all went to dinner.

The next morning we called to shuttle to the
beach and rented out chairs. Isn't it lovely?

How relaxing!

The Westin Hotel was right on the ocean.
The shuttle picked us up to go home, too. It
was, by far, the best way we've gotten to the
beach on any vacation yet.

The hotel pool was beautiful and there were ping
pong tables, a cabana with drinks and food,
palm trees and a gorgeous fountain.

After the seafood buffet dinner - SheCrab Soup,
delicious!!! - the second night, Jonathan posed
for us on the outdoor stage. Ham salad.

Mom and dad went on a short walk after dinner
and I caught this romantic moment.

...And this one.

Hannah, Sam's pal, had a great time on vacation.
She was so much fun to be with, too!!!

Lots of laughs on the porch!

I hurt my neck lifting luggage, but Jon found a
good chiropractor, and we went back to the beach
for more sun and boogie boarding.

Hannah enjoying the surf.

Jonathan and Mary made a sand castle and went
for walks and bike rides on the beach.

They also liked boogie boarding!
