Comets, explorers of solar systems

Ellipse of orbit

_________________

Aside from having features that seperate it from the rest of the
solar system, comets have the most elliptical orbits of all the s
tructures in space. In the worst case senerio, comets that tend
to revolve around the sun in thousands of years have the ellip
an reach.

What effects a comet's orbit?
The structure in the solar system that has the most influence o
n the comet, itself, has to be the sun. It's massive gravitational
pull on that space-object causes it to speed up, and with the
quickening, the comet's orbit is flattened out.
Another factor in effecting the comet's ellipse is the location,
and size of each planet. Since comets are relatively small, oth
er planets tend to effect it - Thinning out the orbit.
