Maya is tan sable. She has the East-German head. She is 24 inches tall, and weights about 60-65lbs. She has incredible high drive and plays ball longer than we can throw the ball. She is an Alpha female even pushes the males around. She and I have started training in Schutzhund; she is very talented, plus she loves the work. Maya wants to be contantly stimulated. Her pups she produces in the future are guarantied to be wonderful working dogs. She is amazing with my son and will even 'blow' me off to be with him.

I think if an 8 year old was allowed to handle her in schutzhund training she would let him. She is not the perfect dog for everyone, but if you are serious about a working dog she is going to produce what you want. She has been known to climb a tree for a ball. Maya is not good with cats, but leaves the horses alone. She has very high prey drive, but also is high in defense. If I am traveling anywhere I take her. She would never let anything happen to myself or my son. Maya takes after her working background.

I have started working her with another club here in the area (Ken White & Russ Osborn). We have started working her in prey, and she is doing great. This picture is of her second day at the club. Maya is very equal in prey and defense, and will be a great sport dog. I am going to give her one more chance as a breeding female her next season, let's keep our fingers crossed. Otherwise check back to watch her progress in Schutzhund training. I would like to thank Tina Elliot for getting these pictures for us.

Maya has been a very active girl and is starting to calm with age, I don't recomend her pups to anyone unless they are wanting either a competitive sport dog or real protection dog. Unless you are a very active person with experince training and showing working shepherds her pups are not for you.
