October 20, 2000 Tonight was interesting…after walking around campus with Dom, we ended up in her room. I was on her computer talking to some people, and I ran across this guy who lived in my dorm. We were talking, and I found out he lived on Shaune's floor. Shaune is this skuzzy guy who basically molested me, and when I told him that is was uninvited, he persisted. He went as far as to block the door when I tried to leave his room. I mind you that I never felt threatened, but I lost what little respect that I had for him. Well, when I was talking to "Mike" online…I asked if he knew Shaune because he lived on his floor. Speaking of floors, that's where I was when he told me what he did. He said that Shaune was no longer the RA of the floor, and Shaune didn't go to ISU anymore. Why you ask?! Mike told me that Shaune raped him, and they were still in the process of having the hearings of the cases and stuff. I couldn't believe what I had heard. Of course, the first thing that I thought was, "What if that was me?" I know that I would have been able to overpower Shaune had things gotten serious…but the situation never called for it. I am glad that Shaune is no longer here, and I am glad that he is suffering the consequences for his actions. I feel that it's about time, and I just pray that he has hurt no one else…like this guy Mike. It's really scary to when you start thinking…"What if"… "What if that was me…" It really makes you think of how fortunate you are, and I am lucky that I wasn't in Mike's position.
