December 19, 2000 Ok, I am the biggest dorkus on the face of this earth. I was in my house alone, and I was going to have a cigarette. I went to my garage, and as I pressed the button to open my garage door, the circuit shorted out. I didn't want to have to deal with that, so I just went out the front door. I was I smoking my cigarette, I kind of realized that I closed the door behind me because I didn't want to let in any smoke. What an idiot!!! All I was wearing was a sweatshirt, and I realize that I have just locked myself out of my house. I didn't have my cell phone with me, and I was smoking my last cigarette. I debated with myself about going to a neighbors house to call a friend, but I hate my neighbors. All my life, I've openly advertised that I live in a neighborhood of white trash. Then I thought about walking to a friend that I haven't talked to in years. We used to be the best of friends, but we had a big falling out. We have tried in the past to resolve things between us and be friends again..but nothing has really worked. We are on good terms these days, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to catch up with each other… I opted to go to a neighbor's house. I called Josh and I asked him if he could pick me up. His family has moved since we were in high school, and he now lives about thirty minutes away. I wasn't about to stay in my neighbors house, so I stood in the cold for about an hour. I told him to drop me off at the mall so that I could hang out with Dom, but he insisted that I go to his house because his mother wanted me to have dinner with them. We went to his house, and thirty minutes later, Dom picked me up. We planned on going to a gymnastics meet because we're dorks like that. We saw some old girls on the gymnastics team from our old high school, and we cheered them on. After the meet, we went to Friday's and we ate a late night snack. Dom dropped me off at home, and I was finally back in my cozy warm house… Ah…! :)
