December 30, 2000 I'm sure that all this convention talk is boring you to death because it's boring me to death talking about it. I'm going to keep the details short…and I'm going to focus on the fun stuff!!! Dom and I had chorus practice at 9:00 this morning, and after that, we eventually went out to lunch. We waited a while for Kelly to wake up and get ready so that she could come with us. Kelly eventually met Dom and I in the lobby…we were smoking. We went to this market place where there was basically every time of food you could ever want. I had my sushi, while the girls just had sub sandwiches. After lunch, we had our regional meetings. It was really sad because our Regional Director, Tanya, had decided that she wasn't going to run again. So, we had to pick a new one. My vote was going to Erica. Her and I had worked together, over the summer, during this workshop. While Tanya said her farewells, a lot of us cried as she did as well. She was a really awesome Regional Director, and she will be missed. But, we had to elect a new one…and after many speeches and questions, it was time to vote. My Erica got the position. After the meeting, I took a picture with her because I took one yesterday telling her that I was doing a picture before she was Regional Director, and I was going to take one after she was Regional Director. I was so incredibly happy for her….hehe… When our meeting was done, Dom and I went to our hotel room to start getting ready for the banquet tonight. I did her hair, and she got into her dress. She was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. I asked her where she would be without her gay best friend….she laughed and gave me a hug. We walked down to the lobby with Kelly so I could smoke a cigarette before the banquet. We took some pictures, and then we walked up to the ball room. Dom and I had a little chorus practice before the doors opened…after that we waited with everyone else to get back in. Finally…when the doors opened…everyone rushed in to get good tables. It was definitely a good banquet. I sat next to Josh and his chapter. The table over was the rest of my chapter. But, I must say it was the best APO banquet I've gone to. It included a strip tease, a "drag" queen, Kermit the frog, a lap dance, table dancing…and so much more. After the banquet, I was lucky enough to get a picture with the National President and the rest of my chapter…I'm send that picture in to try and get it into our Monthly newsletter…hehe…. Eventually Kelly, Jessie, Dom and I went to Josh's room so that we could all start drinking. And boy, did we start drinking. I didn't have that much to drink, but Kelli sure did. When we went to the dance later on in the evening, she was totally all over me. Then she started dancing with random strangers…it was so hilarious. After the dance ended, we all went to the lobby…to smoke of course. Kelly went back to the room though because we was way too drunk. Eventualy, she came back down. A fire alarm had gone off because someone had pulled it, and Kelly apparently started crying because of it. She was very emotional. Then, when she was talking to Josh, he said something that sparked a bad experience in her life, and she started crying again…she was really drunk. The rest of the night was pretty uneventful so we all slowly left the lobby to go to bed…I was personally resting up so that I could party it up for New Year's Eve….so I went to bed…
