A. Morals & Ethics
1. Individual and unit gaming
morals and ethics establish the overall respect given to the individual
and the entire clan on internet game servers. The respect gained
is valuable to both the individual and the unit as good gaming
morals and ethics promote clean gaming fun and enjoyment for all
participants. Good sportsmanship and a general respect for fellow
3D gamers should be a basic understanding of any 3D gamer.
2. Unit members are expected to
follow these basic guidelines:
a) Respect - All unit members
will treat fellow 3D gamers with respect and in general a good
sense of fair treatment as expressed in the golden rule, which
is to treat others as you would expect to be treated. This also
includes verbally whiplashing young punks as they come onto the
server and run their mouths. Unfortunately we have to refrain
from talking back to the punks.
b) Cheating - Cheating of any
kind by unit members will not be tolerated. All unit members will
not participate in, or encourage any type of cheating. This includes
using any kind of cheating program. This will be enforced directly
by unit leadership. Suspected cheaters will be warned once and
if suspected again for cheating, the unit member will be asked
to leave the unit and not use the clan unit designation when playing
on line.
c) Language - All unit members
will refrain from excessive offensive language which includes,
swearing, racial slurs, and sexually explicit descriptions or
words.
d) Chatter - All unit members
are expected to keep excess chatter to a minimum, especially concerning
negative talk of other online players. Arguing back and forth
between teammates and opponents is not necessary and your behavior
will be corrected. Pointing out an obvious cheater on occasion
is acceptable, as being roughed up by an obvious cheater is quite
frustrating.
B. UNIT BYLAWS
1) Recruiting - Col. Youdye, Maj.
Glider Rider, and Capt. Flak Happy are the only authorized recruiting
officers allowed to officially offer a unit membership invitation
to any online player. If someone is interested in joining, refer
them to www.gametiger.com and to search for the 327thGIR when
they play. The recruiting officers must play with and approve
any prospective member.
2) New Recruit Membership - New
recruits will have 48 hrs from invite to respond to the Unit Ethics.
New recruits MUST ACCEPT the Unit Ethics and Bylaws to be allowed
to wear the tag of the 327th GIR. Upon this acceptance each recruit
will then attain the rank of Private (Pvt).
3) Promotions - Promotions will
be handed out at the discretion of the Promotions Board consisting
of Col. Youdye, Maj. Glider Rider, and Capt. Flak Happy. Promotions
will be awarded for team play, online gaming presence, online
communication, unit input, and overall good sportsmanship online,
among other characteristics of a good online gamer. Representing
the unit in an appropriate manner as instituted by the Unit Ethics
will be paramount to attaining promotion in the unit.
4) Command Structure - The command
structure will be the same as U.S. Army regulations as concerning
to Rank order. We will use the ranks of Officers and enlisted
men of the WWII era.
5) Rank - A unit member's rank
will be determined not only by gaming ability and tactical knowledge,
but also by overall team play, and personal presence within the
unit and on line. Players and respective ranks will be posted
on the unit web site. It would help unit advancement to play online
with the unit leadership as much as possible. Any officer or NCO
(Sgt or higher) may recommend another team member, of equal or
lesser rank, for a promotion at any time. A promotion recommendation
will be reviewed by the Promotions Board consisting of Col. Youdye,
Maj. Glider Rider, and Capt. Flak Happy.
6) Multiplaying - The unit does
not provide a gaming server for any game as of yet. Unit members
will be asked to meet on various favorite servers during specified
times throughout the week. Also, referring to www.gametiger.com
to find the unit members playing online. The main purpose of the
unit is to be able to play on line together, so as to play as
a unit. We stress that each member strive to play as a team, executing
map goals with precision and deadly force as to bring greater
glory to the unit and greater enjoyment to each individual clan
member. While multi-playing on-line unit members are asked to
present themselves as proposed in the way described previously
under Unit Morals & Ethics. Even if a clan member is not playing
with other fellow clan members, we ask that the unit member play
respectfully and without cheating, as they are representing not
only themselves, but every unit member and the entire unit as
a whole. This issue is a major sticking point with unit leadership
and insubordination will not be tolerated in this matter.

It is a way of thinking, behaving and doing. You either have it
or you'll never have it. You live by it or you just talk about
it. It is the true measure of the self worth of the individual,
the team and the unit.
