Center for Disease Control

At the time that I left for Australia, there were no compulsory shots that I had to get to travel to Australia. Australia is an extremely clean continent as far as disease. However it is always best to check to see if things have changed. Check http://www.cdc.gov for updates on the latest innoculations and preventative medicines when ever traveling outside the United States.

Australia is a pretty good continent as far as disease goes and they want to keep it that way. They are very strict on quarantine, which means they will check what you are bringing into their country. It is also worth your time even if not coming to Australia to have a check up with your doctor to make sure you are all caught up on all immunizations any way. Some take up to six weeks, so plan ahead.
