  Here are the pictures from our first backpacking trip. go through all pages in photo album

Unfortunately we cannot find the pictures from our first roll at the Glow Worm Research Center and O' Reilly's where we fed the lorikeets and the turkeys kept stealing our birdseed.

The first night we picked up the rental car, and headed out to the Glow Worm Research center where we learned about bio-luminescence in both fungus and animals. That night the car gave us some problems and we stayed at a motel connected to a pub.

The next day we drove all over Lamington National Park to O'Reilly's Treetop Walk and Botanical Gardens, the Natural Bridge, Best of All Lookouts and drove down to Nimbin NSW.

We spent a couple nights in Nimbin to see what a commune was like. Pictures were not allowed and the locals were some pretty funny hippies.

The next day was spent at Currumbin Sanctuary, where we held koalas, fed kangaroos, laughed at wombats and Tasmanian devils, and saw an Aboriginal Dance. On the way home we stopped on the beach of Kirra

The final day with our Car-Car, we went to Tropical Fruit World where we rode on a train and boat, ate exotic fruits, saw a show on the wonders of fruits and picked up a bunch of fruit to bring back to Surfers.
