Ok most games I like to play on the computer are multiplayer online games like  the game RuneScape, but that doesn't mean I don't have a few PC games I like to play. The games that come to mind are StarCraft, and Roller Coaster Tycoon.


StarCraft


StarCraft is a game about three species that are all different in appearance, behavior, and history who are intent on killing each other. You play as either the Zerg, Protoss, or the Terrans. You can play  through campaigns with each species and each campaigns have 10 missions to complete. You select your units and command them to build structures (which can be used to built combat troops or vehicles) with resources that are gathered  or attack opponents. There is also an expansion set on the StarCraft game.

Terrans


The Terran's primary building is the command center, where SCVs are produced. SCVs are used to build other buildings such as supply depots or barracks. Supply depots are needed to supply your army with what they need. You cannot build troops or buildings without supply depots. Barracks are used to make troops for your army. Some buildings can be added on to to make more advanced troops or devastating combat vehicles.

Zerg

The Zerg are a very simple yet devastating race. Their primary building is the hatchery, and every unit is produced from the hatchery. You can produce more hatcheries to build more rapidly. The Zerg larvae can either morph into either drones, which morph into buildings, or Zerglings, which can grow into stronger creatures when you upgrade your hatchery. To create other units your drone must morph into a building, for example the hydralisk dens, where Hydralisks can be created.

Protoss

The Protoss are the most advanced and powerful of the three races, however the Protoss require more resources to create units. Their primary building is the Nexus, where Probes are produced. Probes can then morph  buildings, and then those buildings can create combat units. The Probes, unlike Zerg Drones (which becomes the building) can warp a building, and then quickly move on to morph another building. This can result in the building of a base very fast, and the production of many units quickly. The Protoss race is my personal favorite.

StarCraft can also be played online with thousands of others who play the game on Battle.net. Battle.net is free to use and play online with StarCraft or other Blizzard games when you buy the game if you have internet access. Playing online with StarCraft is a very cool feature.



                                                    
Roller Coaster Tycoon

Roller Coaster Tycoon is a theme park game where you build coasters and rides, set prices for your park and merchandise there, and generally manage your theme park. You construct your rides with money you make from visitors. The price must be right or visitors wont come. You can also send out advertising campaigns and coupon deals for your park to attract more visitors. Your mission is to be a very high rated theme park by the end of a certain amount of time. Sometimes there may be a problem with people trashing your park, so you may need to hire some security guards or janitors to fix the place up. Also what if your ride breaks down? This can happen quite often. So what do you do? Hire a mechanic to fix things up. All in all a great game. There is also a 2nd Edition and an expansion edition.
