4th National Civil Engineering Students Summit

The
Adamson University – Association of Civil Engineering Student, being also one
and the same the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) Adamson
University Chapter under the Lungsod ng Maynila – NCR Student Chapters has
send four (4) CE students in their senior years to this once in a year national
event.
The Adamson University delegates are: Julie Ann Casano, AdU-ACES
President, Wilfredo Cauman, the Vice President for External Affairs and also,
PICE-LNM, Outreach Director and PICE-NCR Secretary; Mary Grezchelle Joanne
Paderes, VP for External Affairs and Ryan Billy Agosto, newly appointed Auditor
of the Association.
Arrival at the Olongapo Convention Center was 9:45 in the morning of July
26, in start of the formal opening of the National Convention (for the Civil
Engineering Professionals). The Adamsonian delegates have transported themselves
there together with other delegates from selected PICE-NCR Student Chapters via
a van.
At 10:00 am, the opening ceremony of the National Convention started and
Chapter Presidents, representatives and officials marched their way to the stage
as the delegations from as high up in Isabela, down to as far as Mindanao are
called. It is simply to say that all Regions have their representatives in the
National Convention.
Later that afternoon, Fellowship Games was held headed by the Region III
Student Chapters, at the Columban College Gym. There was no much of a formal
game itself for the lunch came up late.
The first night was scheduled as the Fellowship Night held at the Carcon
Upper Mau Inns were student delegates from all over the country gathered. The
National Student Coordinating Council President, Rillien Lie Cudal of UST,
headed the program.
Next day affair was the formal opening of the Student Summit where
technical sessions went on. It was also held at the same Conference hall.
