Wonderful ornate turn of the century
crucifix.
Highly
decorative and ornate. One of the best we have seen in a long,
long time. Impeccable shape and quality. Corpus exhibits
wonderful detail and craftsmanship. Superb ivory color and
size. Any home would be proud to exhibit this crucifix!

Best quality we have ever seen.
Smaller
than the above crucifix, but exhibits celluloid "ivory striations"
in the celluloid. Top of the line European and American celluloid
products. This one is my personal favorite and the oldest
of the crucifixes we have. It is a superb example of Victorian
craftsmanship within celluloid. Pictures do NOT do this piece
justice. The striated finish of this celluloid crucifix makes it
almost indistinguishable from ivory!

Beautiful old Mission
Style Crucifix.
Wonderful
mission style crucifix dates to 1910's to 1920's. Stamped
"Germany" on the rear, bottom. The pre- World War One
German celluloid is not as "ornate" as the American ones, but
just as impressive with its wonderful patina and ivory appearance.

Celluloid
French Monastery Crucifix. As
with the prior crucifixes, this dates back to the early 1900's and was
probably manufactured in France. We purchased from a very old Canadian.
This is one of the larger celluloid crucifixes, and is very reminiscent of the wonderful old world craftsmanship of European craftsmanship
at the turn of the century. The
top where the mounting ring attaches to the wall looks like it may have
been repaired years ago, but without a magnifying glass, is un-noticeable
