Qirat & Naat Competition 2002

Reciting from Holy Quran & remembering Prophet Mohammad (may peace be upon him) carries great significance & value in the teachings of Islam & if its arranged in the month of Ramadan carries even greater reward as Promised by Almighty.

In the wake of new positive traditions arising in Punjab Medical College Faisalabad, on Thursday 28.11.2002, a Qirat & Naat competition was arranged for the students in the College Auditorium. Deputy Dean PMC, Prof.Dr. A.G. Rehan received Principal Executive Officer, Major General (R) Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Shah as Chief guest & Prof.Dr.Irshad ul Haque was the Chairmain Organizing Committee. The occasion was attended by students & staff of the college in great numbers and many guests were present from Allied hospital & DHQ hospital also.

Panel of Judges comprised of imminent Qaris & scholars from Faisalabad city as Qari Mohammad Raees, Qari Mazhar Hussain, Maulana Zakir Hussain, Faqeer Nadeem Bari &  Ahmad Shahbaz.

Students who participated in 'Husne Qirat' were Hafiz Tassadaq Hussain, Naeem Ashraf, Sibghat Husnain, Shahid Waheed, Hafiz Shahzad, Sadia Sultan, Hafiz Mateen ul Hasnain & Hafiz Faheem.

Participants of 'Husne Naat' were Shahid Waheed, Amna Adil, Usman Ansari, Farwa Batool, Nasir Mahmood, Adnan Arshad, Rizwan Asad, Mohammad Faheem, Shafique Loon, Ayesha Alam, Muzamil Riaz, Aftab Zawar & Hafiz Habib ur Rehman.

For over Two & a half hours beautiful & catchy words & voices remained warming the hearts of the audience. In the end, Panel of judges presented their decision as under:
