Glamdring
Glamdring is Gandalf's sword- an interesting uniqueness to
Tolkien's wizard, in that he carries a blade as well as a staff. It was originally
found in the horde of some trolls
during the adventures in The Hobbit, along with its companion blade, Sting, which Frodo carries. They glow blue in the presence of Orcs, warning the
bearer, and are Elven-forged with symbols and writing on the blades and the hilt.
