Situation Analysis
May
6, 2004 No nuclear launch detected yet or the use of CBW but be on the alert. DPRK forces are launching attacks on both battlegroups and we are now on the defensive. They have overrun the UN safe zone and captured the UN airbase and thus it will soon be slated for destruction if it cannot be recovered by the 9th of May. Targets include a power station and a port. May 5, 2004 Defcon 2 DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! DPRK INVASION!!! May 2, 2004 Defcon 3 We're running missions into the DMZ. Anything that fires upon allied aircraft is to be destroyed. April 28, 2004 Defcon 3 We've stood down to Defcon 2 as the DPRK have removed the units from the DMZ and are out of range of Seoul. Apparently the message of bombing a site got across. April 27, 2004 Defcon 2 Defcon has been upped to 2 with the latest introduction of Frog and No-Dong missiles into the DMZ and close to the DMZ, with enough range to strike Seoul. April 26, 2004 Defcon 3 DPRK elements moved into a village just west of Kimpo Airbase. Elements from the Roosevelt and USAF are providing recon of the village as well as sweeping through it, helping local forces from the ground and the air. April 20, 2004 Defcon 3 Its a foggy day so there isn't much activity except for the standard CAP flights and escorting the C-17s back to the UN airbase. April 16, 2004 Defcon 3 INTEL reports the presence of heavy troop and armor activity around Nuchon Ni airfield. We're going to launch a dual mission over the area and recon both the airfield and the area. April 8, 2004 Defcon 3 Special Forces units began a recon mission early this afternoon with their ITV M113 variants. Their mission was to recon a possible DPRK stronghold in the DMZ but on route they came under heavy fire from Mi-24s and armor. Apaches on guard scared off the Mi-24s but don't have enough weaponry to destroy the rest of the tanks. We have AV-8Bs on alert and they've just been launched! April 2, 2004 Defcon 3 The situation is looking grim. It has been rumored that rogue elements of the DPRK army have conducted sneak, guerilla-type attacks on UN personnel in and around the DMZ. It is even rumored that some are operating inside the ROK right now. The main concerns are both the UN airbase and the FARC, FARC Zeta. This airbase is our only hope at deterring the DPRK from any attacks. While they have yet to react on a full-scale or even a minor, organized level, we must take extreme caution. Our SAM defenses stand ready and our CAP flights will continue. F-15s and F-16s have been providing our level of CAP while ROK F-4Es have been providing cover over the capital and the southern regions of the country. British Tornados are rumored to be on their way and should arrive in a week but we cannot be sure. Until then, we will continue to ferry supplies to the FARC with the thinking that we are going to be attack will the full might of the DPRK! |
