Hennepin Marsh Tire Clean up Water levels have been higher than average most of this spring and summer, so opportunity to see the bottomlands north of the toll bridge have been limited. We're curious to see if any tires coming down the channel with the ice floes this spring landed in the marsh. We're hoping NOT, but if you are in the area with a kayak or small boat, and have seen one, please get a GPS coordinate on the location and send the information our way. It will make the job of removing them easier during the winter ice cover. A big THANK YOU to the new member who took note of our efforts, sent in words of appreciation, and provided funds to offset the cost. |
