With Appreciation

The GINLC & Nature Area Committee dedicated one of the eight benches, built by Kevin McHugh for his Eagle Scout Project, to two longtime volunteers. The wording on the plaque reads: "In Gratitude to Barbara Leeper and Frank LeFeuvre for their dedication to the Grosse Ile Nature Area."

For many years both spent countless hours at the Nature Area-Barbara greeting the visitors and Frank always with his toolbox ready for emergency repairs. The bench is placed overlooking the Quarry Pond, where both enjoyed watching the Great Blue Herons, turtles, fish and an occasional osprey.
